2. The Mpv Fish Eagle

She is a 53 meter multi-purpose vessel that was originally built in Germany. Before this artificial reef was sunk, it was prepared and cleaned to remove all toxins that could be harmful to the environment. The reef was prepped for diver safety and this new dive site is one of Buccaneer Diving’s most exciting dive sites. This artificial site attracts huge schools of fish and other diverse marine life, which makes it a must for anyone diving in Kenyan waters.

In front of the Swahili House fringing reef, you will find Swahili Deep. This site resembles a cutting in the sandy bottom from 18 to 26 meters and this site is recommended for advanced divers. Along this wall you can spot Napoleon Wrasse, potato groupers and large shoals of blue triggerfish, five lined snappers and surgeonfish.

When is the best time to dive wild Kenya?

The dive school only operates when conditions are ideal. Keep an eye on the Mnarani website for closure dates. The best times to dive are from October to mid-December, and from February to late-April. The sea is calmest then, and offers the best chance to spot whale sharks. The conditions during these times also happen to be great for water sports, so why not explore magical Kenya from both underneath and above the waters!
